1) Q. I don't live in the Phoenix area. Can I still work with the college workshop®?
A.
Of course! We've helped students across the country and around the world - from Flagstaff to New York City to Toronto to Brussels to Jakarta. As long as you have access to a phone and access to either e-mail or a fax machine, you can get our help with every aspect of your applications.

2) Q. But wouldn't it be better if I worked with a counselor in my own area?
A.
Our non-local clients have done just as well as our local clients. And, we believe that there is not another college counseling service out there that does quite what we do in quite the same way. We can say with assurance that working with the college workshop® from afar can produce the same outstanding results as working with us in the Phoenix area. Plus, we've been using the phone, email, videoconferencing, and fax to work with students outside of the greater Phoenix area for several years already.

Of course, in these days of e-commerce, it is easy to be victimized by Internet scams and fraud, so we will be happy to provide references so that you can check us out.

3) Q. How is the college workshop® different from other educational consultants?
  A. 1.
Our approach to college admissions defies the conventional wisdom. We believe that since you are buying, what you need matters above all else. And that's been our (very successful) approach since we opened our doors in 1988.
2.
We work with a handful of students only. We don't churn out search lists or applications as if we're a factory.
3.
We are not into packaging or strategizing; we are into helping you put out the best applications of which you are capable, teaching you life-long skills in the process.
4.
What we teach - research, self-presentation, intelligent decision-making, and writing - are skills that will serve you well beyond the college application process.
5.
And, as cheesy as it sounds, we care deeply about "our kids."

See what students and parents who have worked with us say.

4) Q. Can you guarantee that I'll be accepted?
A.
No. There are no guarantees in college admissions and you should avoid any counselor who makes such promises. We can say that we will do our utmost to ensure that you put out the best applications of which you are capable, which will maximize your chances of acceptance.
