Dear Adrienne and Eden,
You are the greatest gift my daughter has ever received. Your infinite patience and kindness, endless knowledge, and unfailing support were amazing! You were the constant guide - always, always there - to navigate her up and down the slippery slopes and tangled pathways of the college admissions process. It truly felt as though you were devoting all your time and attention to her alone. And as she readies for college (her first choice, by the way), she takes with her the powerful tools, techniques and strategies she learned from you - all of which will serve her well for the rest of her life.
A million gazillion thank yous aren't enough to show our appreciation for your wonderful, inspiring college workshop! Nobody does it better than you!!
Sincerely,
Marcie Gold Creed
Dear Eden and Adrienne,
Now that all the essays are done, the college selected, and an enormous amount of stress behind us, please accept our heartfelt thanks for the truly amazing job you have done for Alexandra and for our family.
Having seen the 2008/9 process of college selection and application, I can tell you I would have been beyond overwhelmed to have attempted to help our daughter through thirteen college applications. Not only were you able to truly identify the best scholarship opportunities available to her, but you absorbed much of the stress involved. Best, of course, is that Alexandra has found a college that is really a perfect fit for her.
It has been a pleasure to get to know you, and I wish you the very best in the future.
Warmly,
Chris Saper
Dear Eden and Adrienne,
It has been over a year since Levi and I came to you seeking your expertise in helping us find the best college match for Levi. I am confident we could not have done it without The College Workshop. You simplified a complicated process and displayed a genuine interest in Levi and his talents. You each inspired and unleashed his creativity and aided Levi in isolating factors key to choosing a college just right for him.
Due to your professional direction Levi had many options for college. With the field narrowed, choosing the right college was not only fun but rewarding. Levi has successfully completed his first semester at Southern Methodist University, adjusted to life in “Texas,” been accepted into the fraternity of his choice and is proud to call SMU home for the next four years.
Thank you Eden and Adrienne for sharing your passions with others and thank you for encouraging Levi.
Respectfully,
Lana Mellen
Eden and Adrienne have a gift for working with teens, especially during this difficult time in their lives.
– Mrs. Julie Schoen
The college workshop made the last year of my child’s life at home a wonderful experience for us all. Eden and Adrienne did all the whipping and spurring to meet deadlines and my children have complete ownership of their final college decision.
– Mr. Richard Whalen
Five years ago, Adrienne Feuer at The College Workshop
took our eldest son through the grueling process of college application.
For the ill-equipped parent or the fainthearted, Adrienne's service
was a godsend. An otherwise complex morass of tedious paperwork and
mind-chilling decision-making was reduced to a logical, clear process.
This was accomplished in an environment which both challenged our son
to bring forth his best effort and rewarded him with the nurturing guidance
of true professionals. Our second son benefited from the same caring
approach and collegial atmosphere with Eden's capable help. Like his
brother, he was rewarded with many fine choices and fabulous opportunities.
Both of our sons are attending Vanderbilt University for a wonderful
education. Our oldest son will be off to Tulane Law School next year,
carrying on the tradition of success started at The College Workshop.
- Dr. and Mrs. Daryl Beabeau
As a mother, I am grateful to The College Workshop from which my son
benefited both as an undergraduate and a graduate student. The skills
he acquired in self-presentation, getting an edge on the competition,
and most importantly, writing, have remained essential throughout his
university experience - a B.A. in Political Science from U.C. Berkeley,
admittance to four law schools of his choice, and his current progress
through the University of Arizona Law School where he has been on the
staff of Law Review and where he will receive a jurisdoctorate degree
in 1999. As a high school teacher, I am also grateful to The College
Workshop. I have observed many of my students continue to profit from
these same skills as well as your guidance, concern for their well-being
and sound advice. Thank you for your continuing devotion to our young
people.
- Mrs. Linda Goldsen
The College Workshop offered a structured approach to filling out overwhelming
applications. The applications were completed prior to the deadline
dates which made the whole process so much less stressful. My son knew
that he wrote the best essays he could have possibly written. I think
that working on these applications at home would have caused us all
an enormous amount of stress and my son would have probably never been
so sure that his applications were good enough. He was accepted at 6
of his 7 choices and we are extremely pleased...
- Mrs. Marian Reisman
Researching and selecting a college is a difficult task and can be extremely
stressful. College Workshop placed the responsibility on Justin and
took the burden away from home. He felt as though the choice was his
without parental pressure. His success and many acceptance letters reflected
his hard work in school and college entrance preparation. Adrienne and
Eden were extremely helpful and encouraged Justin through this lengthy
process. His applications and essays reflected the guidance and support
provided by The College Workshop. Boston University was his top choice
and he will be attending in the fall! I look forward to enrolling my
daughter in The College Workshop as she begins her senior year!
- Mrs. Jodi Hamilton
Both of my daughters (Class of 1994 and Class of 1998) had the opportunity
of working with Adrienne and Eden of The College Workshop and it was
a wonderful experience for me. Knowing both of my daughters' personalities,
I realized from past experience that this college application process
could really test the strength of the mother/daughter bond, cause me
much stress and create many tears of frustration along the way. The
College Workshop allowed the girls to work away from home and away from
mom's harassment when it looked like they were procrastinating, away
from my unwanted suggestions and criticism, even if it was positive.
While other parents were pulling their hair out during this process
with their children, I was able to give nothing but encouragement and
actually enjoy them during the fall of their senior years.
- Mrs. Lenni Griego
College Workshop made Reed College a reality for my son. Without Adrienne's
professionalism and Eden's mentoring, this would not have been possible.
They took on the overwhelming process of motivating my son to live up
to his potential. As a result, he was accepted by all six of his college
choices. I have three more kids, so College Workshop better be around
a long time... it's the only way to go!
- Heidi Londen-Stecker
Sonia being our first child to attend college, we had no idea how to
go about applying to colleges. Adrienne and Eden took Sonia under their
wings and enabled her to be accepted into all of the universities she
applied for (Tufts, Barnard, Notre Dame, Pomona and Stanford). Sonia's
essays were excellent. Adrienne and Eden were always pleasant and there
for Sonia and us whenever needed. We plan on using The College Workshop
again when Sonia applies for law school. We have so much faith in Adrienne
and Eden that we would not let Sonia apply without using their services.
- Mrs. Bea Gonzales
Having a son with too many thoughts and ideas brought us to The College
Workshop. So for us, the cws became the answer to researching colleges
and drafting essays. In addition, it presented the proper structure
necessary to accomplish a daunting task. It forced him to take a good
look at himself to know what he really wanted; and as a result, the
structure led him to impressive choices. In the end, he surprised himself
as to what he was able to accomplish and was accepted at a college that
he would not have dreamed of applying to in the beginning. The cws experience
positioned him to make a tough decision among four fabulous schools.
- Mrs. K.M. Horton
My daughter learned more from Adrienne and Eden in a few weeks than
she had from her English teachers and school in 12 years. I have never
seen her so confident in her writing skills. Every night she would come
home enthusiastic, satisfied and intrigued by how wonderfully Adrienne
and Eden worked with her. The improvement in her writing is night and
day. Adrienne and Eden taught her how to formally fill out applications
and taught her how to introduce and win the love of the administrators
who read the applications.
- Mrs. Cathy Seitz
The innovative system that The College Workshop provides was very effective
in helping Joanna identify her preferences and interests. With the guidance,
structure and camaraderie, she was able to complete her essays and "package"
herself for her applications, making her results more than satisfactory.
- Mrs. Kay Peloquin
The college application process is, at best, overwhelming. There's the
research, application gathering, more research, self analysis, organization,
essay writing and rewriting, deadlines, more essay writing, and lots
of frustration. The College Workshop puts all this in perspective, allowing
parents to act more like guides than dictators. We were pleased with
Jennifer's "mini-slam" and are proud of her acceptance to Duke.
- Mrs. Dawn Kennedy
Dear Adrienne:
Every once in a while, someone comes along whose
impact upon your life alters not only the course of events but reaffirms
your faith.
Two of our children, R.J. and Carin, found you
and brought you into our lives. Both of them are realizing their dreams
(and ours) of attending college - a dream which, before they met you,
could have very well remained just that: a dream.
Your efforts of behalf of R.J. have not only made
college a reality; his scholarship winnings, won because of your direction
and assistance, exceed the combined costs of attending A.S.U. Your direction
and assistance with his college applications resulted in his acceptance
to Tufts, University of Rochester, The Rose Hulman Institute, Tulane,
and Lehigh. While financial aid offerings from each of these schools
were generous, R.J., with your guidance, decided that A.S.U. made the
most sense and would leave his future completely untethered financially.
Carin's acceptances into both of her out of state
choices reinforced her confidence in herself and, although she, too,
will be staying in state, she now knows that, when the time comes to
apply to veterinary schools, she can compete and will be accepted. Your
interest in her extended to all levels. Often, when times got rough,
you were the one person to whom she felt she could turn and who would
really understand. You have been more than a mentor and teacher, you
have really been a friend.
You should be aware that, without your expertise,
direction, and concern for the well being of our children, neither child
could have gone on to college and there is no way that we can ever express
the gratitude we feel to you and to The College Workshop.
The community has been well served by The College
Workshop and by you personally....
With kindest personal regards and thanks.
