| College Search: A Crucial
Piece of the Puzzle |
 |
I entered my college search certain
of nothing beyond my uncertainty about my major, career, and school.
Thanks to cws, I was able to better define what I wanted from college
and discover my perfect school: Williams College, which I never would
have known existed if not for the wisdom and search techniques of Adrienne
and Eden.

| Maximize your chances - and
minimize the risk of getting burned - by making a good match. |
| How? |
| A) |
Throw darts at pictures of colleges
that you have cut out from viewbooks.
|
| B) |
Ask your Uncle Tony (who hasn’t
been to college in 25 years) or try one of those limited on-line
searches.
|
| C) |
Apply to a bunch of colleges
you’ve heard of and hope that you get into at least one.
|
| D) |
Make selections based on a published
ranking system that does not consider important issues of compatibility.
|
| E) |
Work with the college workshop®. |
|
| Why is E the right answer? Because: |
| A) |
There is no simple formula.
No computer search program or personality profile can adequately
determine which of the thousands of schools in the U.S. will best
meet your needs.
|
| B) |
The college workshop®
asks you to answer hundreds of questions about yourself and then
spends hours analyzing your responses in order to come up
with a list of schools just for you.
|
| C) |
Since 1988, we’ve been matching
students of all abilities and interests with colleges and universities.
|
| D) |
Students who go through our
search (which we believe to be the most comprehensive in the world)
have a much higher acceptance rate than those who don’t - almost
2 to 1!
|
| E) |
ALL OF THE ABOVE! |
|
| E, of course! So, put a
little workshop wizardry to work for you! |
